We went back to the doctor again today and the twins are doing great. They are growing at the same rate and everything has developed perfectly. There is no visible division in the amniotic sac, which would make them MoMo twins. There are no reported cases of this type of twins being of different sexes. With all that said, this time we saw the other twin and it is a girl! The doctor tried to see the other twin, but this time it was turned the opposite way. He could not see the sex for sure, but thought it was a girl too. J asked if we were having triplets, but the doctor said no. The first ultrasound looked like one twin was a boy and the other could not be determined, but now it looks like two girls. We will go to an ultrasound specialist in a couple of weeks to see if he can determine the sexes of the twins. So for now, we are back to square one. We are looking at girl names now and making a list for all possiblities. Good thing the car seats and diapers we bought so far are gender neutral!
You all got the results right in the identical/fraternal quiz, so here's another quiz for you. Pick boys, girls, or one of each. Vote on the poll to the left.

Oh my Kelly! I laughed while reading this, and then while reading it to Chad. What a story you will have for your little ones, whether boys or girls! Nice planning on the gender neutral items. We did that with Molly too. This time around we can buy a few more pink things. :)
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK, good thing I didn't send that little gift yet. I'll have to hang onto it until things are more 'conclusive'. What an exciting (albeit frustrating) time!
Oh, and I forgot to tell you. TLC had a show on last year about a set of identical twins that were boy/girl. it was an extremely rare case (obviously) in which there was some kind of genetic mutation or something right when the egg split. I don't remember the details, and can't find the show on the internet, but it was fascinating. Maybe you'll be 2 in-a-million!!!
