Kelly took her 1st steroid shot in a series of 3 today to help with Alyssa & Katelyn's development. She is taking these shots because the type of twins we are having (Monochorionic/Monoamniotic twins...meaning they share the same placenta and same amniotic sac) are usually delivered early by C-section...some as early as 32 weeks! Kelly is currently 27 weeks along with the girls. The doctor would like to be able to wait until between 35 and 37 weeks to deliver our twins, so that they can grow as much as possible before entering into the world. Keep us in your prayers for healthy babies!
